Redesign a Day/Night area in a very large flat. Incorporate the existing kitchen appliances. Suggest colours that blended in with the rest of the flat. Achieve the same amount of storage space.
The main room has a lot of angles that aren't square. Installation of the kitchen in a lounge area with electricity and plumbing.
For this loft, we designed the entire main room to ensure the right dimensions in the different areas (entrance/living room/kitchen/bedroom). The bedroom, which was previously in the mezzanine (not very practical), was moved to the ground floor (where the kitchen was previously). We created a dressing room helped create a natural demarcation between the entrance, the kitchen, the living room and the bedroom. We put a false ceiling in the kitchen, after it had been separated from the rest by using a different colour to create a natural break with the living room. A small wall was built between the kitchen and the living room providing storage space for the kitchen and creating a bar area. 2/ Anthracite grey was chosen for the kitchen units to go with the fuchsia curtains, and with the light grey colour on the walls. Fuchsia was chosen for the cupboard doors in the entrance, also matching the curtains. 3/ An exact estimate of the storage needs meant we could produce a project with the right dimensions.
