Kitchen Wood Contemporary
To design an open kitchen in a new flat. A limited budget, but a respectable kitchen built to last, with modern elements, but without moving too far away from tradition.
The electricity inlets were already finished, but adjustments were inevitable. Changes also need to be made to the plumbing to make the kitchen more practical (adding a dishwasher). The window above the sink was set too low, but we made do with it, by putting in a wider worktop, providing enough clearance for the window.
Choice of light-coloured oak unit fronts. Traditional granite worktop chosen by customer. To make the kitchen more pleasant and practical, two units with sliding fittings were included. There was not a lot of room, and the aim was to have enough storage. The flat is designed for just one person, so I recommended a compact dishwasher.
